Updating without flashcard? create a program out of a folder

hey guys, i dont have a flash card and im wondering if i can update my mpc some other way? i already tried putting it on the HD and opening it but nothing happened.

also, i have drum kits in folders on the hard drive, but i hate manually select what sound goes on which pad so, can it automatically create a program out of a folder?

Look on the official website for your first issue. I don't want you to fry the mpc based on a misunderstanding of my answer. As for the second issue. Mpc edit is a desktop app that lets you build a kit on the desktop and drag and drop the folder info the mpc. I would like to point out that you have to build,load,setup or whatever you want to call it yourself. The akai elfs no long sneak into or studios, scan our brains, then implement the perfect kit for us before we wake. So with that being said, Marie hardware based production is not for you. Try a good daw.

you misunderstood completely, i have a folder full of kicks, i want them on a program, i thought the mpc could just assign randomly fromthe folder to a pad, to create a program

It can.
The 5k can load a folder and auto create a program.

can it with the 1.01 OS?

Not unless the folder has a program file in it. I have a 5k. If its a new folder from the desk top it will NOT auto assign a raw folder. It needs to have the 50s file. I'm story to op .. I did misunderstand you.
