mpc2500 + mpc2xl

I own a mpc2500, thinking about getting a cheap mpc2000xl. I use to own a 2000xl, sort of miss it, even though i love my 2500.

Anyone use both and why? I dunno, i want another mpc that i can drag with me places and dont want to drag my 2500 (incase it gets busted). Am I crazy?

You can also sell your 2500 but take a 1000!cheaper than 2500 but with the same features!(exept for 6 out instead of 8 )

i wish i could use both together and make it work but it's a dream that never comes true.

even my trying to use the 2kxl at my other spot as my main piece is redundant after knowing the 2500 so well.

haha, yeah that was one of my biggest reasons for thinking about the 2xl. I dont like the small ass pads on 1000. Maybe its not so bad tho.

Pads are smaller but with pad upgrade you can have same sensibility and smoothness like "bigger mpcs".
Imho Jog Wheel on 2500 is a bit crappy compared on 1K.

the mpc1000 is not only more portable [than the mpc2000xl], but your mpc2500 projects will be cross-compatible with it as well... i'd say get a 1000 with the new pads.

It's terrible. I almost went back to the mpc500 because of it. Now i got used to it.

I use both of them i have them midi together. Because i use only the mpc to make my beats i use both of them and due to the limited amount of poly what doesn't fit on one i put into the other.

I say if you can get your hands on both of them go for it they are amazing together just make sure you run the 2500 as the lead box it tends to lag a bit if you lead with the 2000xl from what Ive noticed.
