Zip 100 external help

I have a zip 100 external drive.
My problem is that the disk wont come out when I press the button.
It also gets really hot when I plug it in.
The power cable I'm using isn't the right voltage, maybe that's the problem.

1st and foremost you NEED to ALWAYS use the correct voltage for ANY electrical device, to (1) not burn ya house down in an electrical fire and (2) burn out any equipment.

next, if you have the blue omega zip external with the usb connection you have to eject the disc by unmounting it from your desktop or laptop. if its the external with the serial connection then Im not sure how that one works being as though I do not have that model.
