How do I replace my MPC 2000's note variation slider?

I purchased a new slider off mpcstuff because my current one is not working. there are no videos online on how to replace them either (none that i can find, at least.) has anyone on here replaced one on a 2000 before that could shed some light on my situation?

There is a recent thread where someone showed some pictures. I just replaced mine in the 2000xl.
I dont know if its the same in the 2000 but you need to desolder the old one and resolder the new one.
It wasnt too bad. It's easier to remove the board inside the in order to do the job.
It was my first time ever doing something with soldering onto a circuit board and it worked!
