Recording tracks into ProTools LE???

How's it goin everybody??? I have a minor dilemma regarding my MPC. I'm going to the studio this thursday to finish up a beat I have been working on but the problem is I do not know how to drop my tracks onto the grid on ProTools LE (Macintosh) Normally the guy that owns the studio would do this for me but, he is on vacation and I am working with another guy. He is use to either working with Reason or live intrumentation. So neither of us know how to drop it onto ProTools. If anyone knows anyway of doing this your feedback would be extremely appreciated. I just want to get it on the computer so we can start messin around with the Triton and fill in some gaps in the song. Thank you very much

just record it

if your using the mbox select as line then record how you would normally do it

if you sync via midi thats the best way...then your beats will line up exactly with the grid in pro-tools.

So this is a midi project? Is that why you need a grid.?I record into a Mac using Pro Tools, but I don't do midi, so I just record my beats through my preamps and into a session I set up on my 001. No grid required.

Sorry somedho but the link didnt work.....We arent using the MBox. I'm not sure how the MIDI works there, but I do know theres a patch bay....Could I plug a cable into the in's of the patch bay...then the other end in my (stereo jacks??????) of my MPC and then record directly into ProTools???

I was also wondering if could only record the lefts or the rights??? And If I cannot I'm pretty sure I can delete one or the other in ProTools......Is this correct??

Sorry bout asking so much I jus want to get straight to work when I get they're....Nothing is worse then waisting studio time.....Well probably not but you know what I mean.

Can I do this or do this or should I use MIDI??????And If I do use MIDI how do I bring it up to record? Please I need help

I have fixed the link... follow that...it explains everything...just go to akai mpc and then to mpc tips. Its too long to post here...just clutter up the forum

You can record just the stereo out...or all 6 outs....up to you

Nah its alright...but stephen made a better version...search the forum and you can find it there...called MPC Pad 187 i think
