I just got a USB zip drive to load .SND sounds (converted from .WAV) onto zip disks I will then load into the MPC 3000 via SCSI zip. Is this possible with what I have, or do I need to download the MPC Editor program?

Also, will the 3000 recognize these sounds if they are arranged into folders? (ex: drums folder, stabs folder, effects folder, etc.)

First, if you have not figured it out, the MPC3000 does not use folders.

Second, yes, you can dump all kinds of MPC3000 format SND files on a Zip and have the MPC recognize them. Then it is just a matter of arranging the samples into PGM's on the MPC itself. Not a a lot of fun but the MPCEditor makes that process a lot faster.
