What is it that your not able to do? Does the sample continue to play when you select a grid in the pattern sequencer? Have you tried the Fruity SliceX?

Lol .. FL studio will not run on a crappy computer first of all. It a legit FULL daw. Second, Odyssey not got the god damn cracked version you would have tech support live via the tab above the transport controls.

I dont know about version 9, but I have had version 7 running nice on a pentium 3 800mhz with 256megs of ram... it ran fine as long as you didn't run too many 3rd party fx pluggins. If you do something similar with version 9 or what ever... dont run things like the limiter, maximizer or too many parametric eq 2 with real time analyzers or else it bogs down the system.
