IE : What time of day/night are you most productive? Do you find your output changes with the seasons? Is there anything weird you do when working.
I seem to work best in a routine. If I work at the same time of day every day then I get locked in. Between 8-11am is a great time for me. Lots of neurons firing.
And because I don't have AC and live in Texas, I find my work to become more involved during Spring and Fall. Unfortunately I have no way to load or save with my broken Zip drive right now so that is really cramping my style. I am one of the 9% right now, so until that changes I won't have the ends to grab a card reader. But when I do...fya!! ...I hope
And I love to spark one before I get to it. Also working a crossword before hand really seems to limber my mind up a bit. Maybe it's all the weird connections or something but if I work on one for a bit before I begin writing music I find that I am more easily influenced by usually otherwise innocuous sounds/rhythms. Things I might otherwise overlook etc... Maybe that is all psychosomatic, but it seems to work for me!
Of course for anyone who is making a living making music there is a more pressing need to work constantly, but there surely must be preferred times, etc...
