You never gonna get 1500$ for a multi repaired item. Just pay the 400$ and buy a MPC2500. At the end this is still cheaper then selling it. Do the math...

what really happened but from what I gather your 5000 got burned in a power failure of some
sort. You than replaced the screen. After you replaced the screen YOURSELF it started to
smoke? Isnt that the reason why companies void there warranties when somebody other than
an authorized tech goes into there product?
Youre pissed at Akai? Want them to lose sales? So you want to sell your 5000 and buy another
Akai product?

why dont you go back to page 1 and read it.... his screen started smoking so he sent it back to akai. they fixed the part and sent him back his unit and the problem happened again cause they didn't actually fix it.
then he thought to himself... **** akai, they probably wont fix the problem they will just keep the mpc for yet another 3 months.
it aint hard... I dont get how you can be confused

Nah I think you should.. After it smoked he never sent it to akai. Good one, Champ.

golfzerosafari wrote:As far as support goes. My only time was when I had the 2500 and it crashed and did not want to reboot. Akai fixed it no problem.
NO PROBLEM'S ON MY 5000.

well he sent it and had it fixed... where could he have sent it to? either akai or one of the service centers... read the first post. He got it back and there is still a problem. Either way, the dude said he didn't want to wait several more months...
