Tutorial book: "Beat making on MPC 1000" Applicable to MPC1k

Hey guys. So I've gone through the AKAI manual as well as the JJOS1 manual for the MPC1k that I just got. I'm a complete noob when it comes to this music stuff and a lot of the manual just went over my head. I'm looking for something a bit more detailed with tutorials involved and came across the e-book "Beat making on MPC 1000" by MPC-Samples.com.

I was wondering if this manual would still be worth it and if the tutorials within the manual would be easily applicable to my MPC w/ JJOS 1

Yes, It will help you learn how to actually use your machine, that's different from reading a manual that tells you where everything is, this one tells you how to use those things described in the manual.

Thanks, so the main reason I posted was to find out if the book was for the AKAI OS and not JJOS and if it is AKAI OS, is it still worth getting if I am using JJOS?

Yes, it is absolutely worth it. The MPC1000 book is compatible with the free JJ OS 3.09, and the basic functions shouldn't be that different from JJ OS1. There are some more advanced options, though, but if you read the JJ OS manual with the MPC Tutor book, you'll be fine.

I've got the book for MPC2500, I've been studying it for some months now. Between the book, the stan steez JJ OS manual:

the beatmaking e-book is very helpful and goes into ltos of detail in a simple, easily-followed way
