I just updated to the 1.43XL for my 2500 last night.

After working for about two hours, i was randomly navigating on the main screen (i think pressing the + and up buttons) when the MP kinda froze for a second and then just rebooted itself.

very frustrating because i lost some work, but, also scary because i don't want to be thinking about this all the time or save my workin the middle of a session.

Have you reset mpc after loading new os? really, I've never seen rebooting itself.

seeing some of the reactions of operating systems,
you can see this and many more strange things (bugfix! these strange things are called bugs.
because I do not understand what you pretend to advice.

Oh, have you performed so called hard reset? I did not say it has never froze or crash on me, I just said I've never seen rebooting itself, that's all. actaually xl is unstable, because jj's adding new stuff..

i got a crash with OSXL 1.42 just now.

it froze and gave me this message (have reported it to JJ):

"illegal general instruction exeption"

I lost about 5 hours of great programming...
cant reproduce the "bug"..
i was in "grid options" chaning stuff (highlight the sequencer i MAIN mode, and press window-key)


Beware, i am going back to 1.40 for now... not really using the new features anyway.

Has anyone else noticed contrast settings are lost after powering down on MPC2500 JJOS XL 1.43?

anyone noticed problems with mute and solo?
when i set a track to be solo and go to another track the active track is always set as solo and is playing even it shouldnt... ((
