My last mixer was a Vestax 05 Pro w/ a sampler & effects in it but now that Serato has effects I don't need it . Plus the faders were sh!t on the Vestax . Ask any DJ, no mixers faders can fck w/ a Rane's (except maybe the innofader but I haven't tried that yet) . And Rane's are built like tanks . All around it's a smoother, more convenient mixer . Plus this one has internal power so no more wall wart .

When I get to Vegas (in 3 weeks) i'm going to look into getting another dj mixer. I got a cheap ass Behringer VMX1000 to hold me over until I get another mixer with MIDI and USB connectivity. I was seriously looking at that RANE sixty-eight but the price was fkn ridiculous.

the price on that 68 is ridiculous........they spent a grip in development

and it ain't really $hit but a huge midi controller for the most part

I loved my 56.....but currently using a D4, crossfader is comparable, and the filters and EQ are sick

I bought one of these a few months back and think it's the nuts!

It's static as I'm not a working DJ anymore, but I've got a few CDJs hooked up, plus a Stanton STR8 150 for sampling, and an Akia MFC 42 all routed to an MPC 2500.

All good. :D

A few things were added and a few things taken away from the 56.

The two things that swayed it for me were the internal power and the Line/Phono switches for all 4 inputs.
