16-Level-Problem

I made a bassline with the 16 level function .. Everything works great but I must hold the pad to make a sound but I want the bass played out when I release the pad ... I didn't find something useful in my manual .... Does somebody know the answer ?

Im not sure i understand what you mean??the sound is only gonna ring out as long as you sampled it. If you want certain notes to sustain, make the bass line in 2 parts. sample the shorter bass sample...then sample a longer version...and do it in layers...thats what i do when i program bass on the mpc. you can also mess with the Poly/Mono setting... Shft 6 under params..if set to poly the sample will ring out everytime the pad is hit. In mono it will retract when your finger leaves the pad...hope that helps..

Sry for my bad english, i wanted to say that when I press a pad in 16 level mode it only plays as long as I hold it ... But it should play as long as the sample is ...

I repeat: Set the pad to mono in program menu. If it doesnt work you might hit the wrong pad. leave the 16Level mode and go to program, then hit the pad with the sample, then set it to mono, then enter the 16level mode again and it will work.

K well in that case its already set ot mono...change it to poly...but i dont see whut the problem of holding the pad is really?

oh and make sure the loop if turned off or else it will get stuck on note off...

Thx man ... That was the thing I haven'd done

If you'd like to leave the loop on, simply adjust your decay value (in Program Params) and it will fade out longer.

You have to do it this way for looped samples such as wavecycles.
