That's actually more accurate than one would think...

may I suggest something.... that we take the 'volume 5' off the title. I think that would clear up all problems... afterall I dont really think this is an addition to the mpc-mixtape line regardless of what anyone says about no one 'owning' it or about clint having his own special vision about the series.

we should keep the original series as full tracks, keep symphony sounds as full instrumentals, and maybe clint can start a 'revolution' series of half full tracks, half beats (sorta joking here, but also serious)

and really... I dont think it would be farfetched to say DStruct 'owns' the original mixtape series like Explicit 'owns' SS. the only thing making ppl say that no one owns the series is because it has a general name. I doubt anyone is gonna come out of the blue and say theyre starting the next Symphony Sounds without Explicits permission.. but interestingly anyone can come out and say theyre EPing volume 6, or volume 7 of this series without consulting Dstruct, Sinister Keys, Prah or Explicit. to that end I think we should listen to the contributors of the past series and pay respects, and if you never submitted anything before then stfu cos if it werent for all the past contributors there would be no v5 to gloat about

Huh? So ppl who've never contributed can stfu? Bullshit! It is what it is... Don't change no titles... I'd like to think I have a chance as much as the next person to showcase my skills without needing to have post b4....especially if guidelines were followed. I mean i have nothing against full tracks.... Cause has that been a requirement... I'd def would have done it.

I just wanna hear it 1st b4 anything is said

I'm guessing there will be a few more weeks of people coming in here talking complete bollocks before it even drops.

Thats not what he said. In fact he said what I was thinking. A mixtape is a mixtape, and instrumental CD is an instrumental CD. Either way....it doesnt matter. The more negative exposure this project gets the harder its going to be for anyone to appreciate it without an unbiased opinion.

At the end of the day all of yall should shut up and let the project talk.

And I still agree with what Sinamatik said because it makes sense but still....no point in changing anything. I'm sure clint got enough on his plate with just getting the project where it is. I tell yall this......Anyone who aint contribute yet to ANY project yet and wanna grow balls can offer to produce the next one. Its not that easy to coordinate so many different styles, personalities, genres, schedules...etc...

That's the way it goes sometimes.

I was hoping one of Clint's surprises would be that you'd be mastering this one, but if you can't even take a shit in peace, that's obviously not happening!

Kapp - I was referring to the cats earlier when Hellfire put his 2cents in... meaning if you weren't a part of v1-4 and your coming in here trying to say what this mixtape series is or should be, over someone that was one of the major players in the whole friggin series then yeah you should stfu. we wouldnt even be having this discussion if it werent for all the ppl who made the first 4 volumes possible
