I feel you. My 60II needs a floppy, too. I just use a zip100 drive. It's definitely faster.

I have a 5000 and a 3000...the 5000 is garbage...I hate it, I just use it as a big ass hard drive sound module which actually works itself out...I dont like the fact that the sequencer is 960ppi it doesnt have that same groove or feel as the 3000...I cant even use my Motif with the 5000, it misses notes when Im playing...gay! But I love my setup tho!

Boy oh boy, SC Pro Ones, tape machines, Rhodes, etc.... there is really some beautiful set-ups here :)

I dig on that wood side MPC 60. If I were to ever customize mine I would love to have wood sides, prolly replace the wear-prone padded arm rest too with wood, then paint the entire thing semi-flat black, so it kinda resembles a vintage Prophet or Moog ;)

Here my humble set-up I just recently acquired the past few months after spending every single paycheck, not going out at all, and also downgrading all my photography equipment (my first hobby, which i'm getting "less into" nowadays, lol)

Bad quality iPhone pic. Not shown is the typical technics/expedit/records/Ecler mixer at my 8-9 o'clock where I am standing and a wall of vinyl 11-12 o'clock on the wall behind/past the racks. Took it a few weeks ago. Only thing new/added is a little cheapy Yamaha TX FM synth rack... planning to get more cheapy vintage effects, then sometime next year & in the future some nicer effects, compressors, a big bad 808 to match the 909 and maybe even a Prophet 5 in a year or 2 ;)

Ikea Broder shelving system... though the "slanted" and "adjustable" brackets have been discontinued for some time now, a few years.. maybe theyll re issue them, who knows... I got lucky and found some used ones on CL

thanks, would you say your system is sturdy/stable? also do you have the T stand model or the L stand? nice equipment btw, the 60 was my first and still there is nothing like it in terms of workflow. classic
