Thinking of selling the 3000 to get a 4000 or maybe??? a 5000. Anyone looking to pick up a 3000 let me know. And if anyone can speak on a 5000 vs a 4000 I'd like to know that also.

Leaning towards a 4000 , but I'd imagine a 5000 is very similar to a 2500 which I've used about 3x. I'm about 15 plus years deep on the 60 / 3000.

Thanks

What do the 4 or 5k do that u cant do on the 3k? If you want hte effects or more filters or something like that, then perhaps just buy more hardware to compliment the 3k. Im sure you could have other reasons for wanting the newer mpc's tho.. IMO the 3k sound CRUSHES the 4k, never messed witht the 5k..

Sometimes that sound isn't needed. I need that open high end sometimes, of x
Course I could do spdif and bypass the color.

There are many things a 4000 can do that a 3000 can't. Most are in the extra features dept. More programs at once, higher res seq, resampling, USB, faster chopping, etc.

I'll keep my 3000 if I want that sound. But I'm sure I can do fine without it for a while.
