Seriously. And 2 years worth of work on the Hard Drive, which was backed up to a second hard drive that was damaged on a particularly harrowing journey through Romania. This European tour was the time of my life, but I paid dearly for it.
What the hell does this have to do with production techniques you ask?
Well, I don't lament my lost work too hard, because I have also had my head blown wide open regarding music theory and structure, so I'm ready to get back to work double-hard on some new new. I already acquired a new MP with the $'s I made in Europe, but I need to build my weapon (sample) stock back up. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want your samples necessarily, (unless you have any good OS2XL instrument programs you'd be willing to share...) but if you could point me in the general direction of either A. A good place to find some Big Bass samples, or B. Any good Vinyl blogs, especially for blues, jazz or psychadelic stuff it would be MASSIVELY appreciated. In Fact, if anyone can provide any really good sources (I mean TOP NOTCH) PM me, and I'd be willing to send you one of the following extra Items I have:
Black side panels for the MPC 1000
Volume / Record knobs for the 1000
a 128 mb Compact flash card (I'll put some of my favorite drums from the Drumlabz "Crushing Drums" DVD on it when I send it too.)
So let me know.
Easy,
John Falconcrest
