I feel you. I think most things happen for a reason if you look at 'em right. I was certainly working with a LOT (15 Gigs worth) of poorly organized samples. Unfocused in terms of their sound. I mean, I got the Job Done, and there are certain very useful samples I was really proud of, but overall I think it was high time for a Stalinist purge anyway. I'm ready to be much more exacting and efficient when it comes to sample choice / organization. Overall it will likely be a good thing, it just Sucks that right Now I'm at maximum zero and need to get these projects done ASAP.

if a fed even looks at my mpc hes getting throwen in acid vatts.
make your own sounds and sample vinyl bruv.. youll end up with a unique style that way and digging is a way to up your music knowledge a million fold and its a real way to spend time as a humen. unless you make pop then just download the same old bullshit and die.

Anyway... I'd check out a few pay sites too... zero-g has some great stuff just on their download site. Loopmasters has at least a few labels worth checking out (GoldBaby/Zenheisser/Wave Labs)... I tend to look for the one shots and stuff. Plus signing up at Loopmasters you can get about 1GB of samples to download for free. I never looked into it and it might mostly be trash... but who knows.

What else? Well there's always picking up a copy of Computer Music/Future Music/Music Tech or whatever and scarfing anything good off of the DVDs.

dowloading samples is the same as sampling a cake at a supermakert.. everybody samples the same sample and sh|ts out the same sh|t. get diggin.
