normally unbalanced jacks are used to transfer high current audio signals, like guitars and such. If your 2 bunbalanced line inputs have Hi-z or instrument(imstru) printed, it will blow those preamps. If it has mic/line/inst ur good.

what mpc do you have? if you have a 1k, 500 or 5000, then it comes with USB, and you don't need to use an audio interface.
instead, resample each track, then drag and drop the file from the mpc into your DAW.

if you have a mac computer (they have digital in/outs), then you can use the digital audio outs of the mpc to track into your computer.

both these ways will give you better sound than quality than using an audio interface as the signal avoids analogue/digital or digital/analogue conversion.

Nothin really, just didnt sound like I expected. I was after a piano, and I got a sampler. Don't get me wrong, this this thing is dope and damn capable, just didn't fit my needs. I came up on some gear that did, and now I gotta make room.

if you say what audio interface you have maybe someone could help, instead of just saying "my stuff doesn't work - what's wrong?!"

or you could use s/pdif instead, since the mpc1000 has that too

then you must be doing something wrong

have you usedthe mixer page to send the other tracks to the assignable outs, instead of the main outs?

you just record the Main Out - which will record whatever you're playing - check the manual, where it's cunningly hidden under "Recording the MAIN OUT"

everytime i record the main out i save it then in the program it wont play when i hit the pad n try transfer it and says cannot play this file or some shit. hmmm. thats why i just use a interface but that seems to be a pain in the ass too i can record into reaper doin that but quality sounds shit got a fuzz to it n pretty quiet so maybe im thinking just get spdif cords to record ?

Use the 2 inputs all the way to the left or use the S/PDIF.

Damn! That pic is huge. Doesn't this forum re-size?

Anyway, make sure you select "rear" as your input. No homo.
