Hey guys,
When I program my beats I tend to do a lot of programming without quantizing turned on, playing with the timing of tracks and so on. Ok so far
that's no mystery. Problem I have is, when I track it to the Mac and I want to use midi sync/midi time code, the bounce of the beat goes all funny. This seems to be because the clock in the Mpc is not a 100% steady and slighty fluctuates (therefore great bounce) while the clock in the mac is steady making the beat go all stiff. I've tried to record the midi timing but when I play it back the bounce is still wrong. Unfortunately slaving the computer is not really a solution etiher since, and I'm guessing here, cos of the clock timing bar 1/beat 1 (i/e the kick) doesn't line up to bar 1 in the computer so I still have to adjust the tracks manually after tracking if I want to add loops or whatnot. What I've done so far is to track without sync which is alright just time consuming cos of the post editing. Take it easy dudes /j
