I have one - it was my first piece of gear after my decks. I don't use it now, but it's pretty easy to use as a basic sound module over midi. I even used it temporarily as a midi controller/sequencer to sequence my S-series rack sampler, before I had better options for doing that.

oh yes, i remember now ...

first, you can't control the knobs (effects, cutoff, portamento, LFO etc.) via MIDI, they don't respond to CC messages

in normal mode incoming midi will only trigger the active part, so all midi channels use the same set of sounds - not great if you want to use it for more than one track!

in sound module mode it's multitimbral, so different midi channels can trigger different sounds, if you send bank change and program change messages to select the sounds for each channel. but in that mode turning the knobs has no effect

so it's definitely limited when sequenced from other gear, but works ok as long as you don't expect too much from it!

the sounds and preset patterns are pretty dated, but if you want a 90s dance sound it'll provide them!
