Trying to buy MPC 2500 original casing

I just bought a used mpc 2500 off ebay and its painted. The problem is they painted over the words and I don't know the mpc well enough to just know whats where. So Im looking to buy the outer casing, before I send it back. I already checked mpcstuff.com and they have them on the site, but they're out of stock. Any help or advice is appreciated.

you can have a screen printing shop relabel it for about the cost of a new case.

maybe you can use some sort of paint thinner to remove the wack paint that wont mess with the stock paint??

also, you might try using some really fine samdpaper (like 400 grit) and lightly sand over where the text is (was). You should be able to sand off the BS paint through to the text, and if you go slow enough, bring the text out without removing it..

Get 400 or 600 grit wet/dry paper (the black stuff), take the case off and do it under a sloow run of water in your sink.. Tear off a small piece and go gently.. very gently at first, until you ge tthe hang of it. -should work.

At worst you can sand it all down and give it a new paintjob that you like or have someone here screen new text on it.
