Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Did a quick search, can't find on the 4000 how to change the output assignment for all pads at once. I have the 8 out board and want to change all 96 pads of a program to say out 2. But within the KG mix page. As changing the out from the mixer page doesn't override the kg mix program page.

I'm on 1.60 OS btw.

Thanks, 4000 is feeling great so far. Day 1

Make sure the program is assigned to a track aka part first. Then go to mixer page the assignments are ordered by parts. Parts means outputs in a multi.

That doesn't override per sample output assignments or program assignments for outputs. The solution was to go into zone mode select edit all instead of edit one and ANYTHING I change on any page of the program menu it'll effect every sample / pad either in relative or absolute modes. Tuning, one shot, lfos, env, mute groups, EVERYTHING! I was shocked it works so well and is so easy. Thanks blue, I tried what you said, but as I stated it doesn't overide program options.

Good for you and I`m glad it worked out for ya. Yeah it is important like you said to not have the individual pads on different settings on pads as they will override the multi.

I've upgraded since that day. I'm on 1.71 now, not much that I've seen changed though, I'd have to look at the addendum to see if there's anything I'd really use. Except for added stability.
