Akai is like korg. What ever comes out will be way overprice compare to whats out there and if it is at a good price it will still not every thing it should. The 4k cost 3100 fully loaded( i think) if akai comes out anything better how can it cost less unless its not better like the mpc 1k! Right now im gona thank roland for putting the mv8000 in the price range that it is in right now cause alot of shyt is about to happen. I really see this as the year mpc 3000 drops in resale price. For the money of a used 3k you could get a mv. Akai was real slick with there pricing. 2000 xl $1299 new, mpc 3000 $2000 used and $3000 for a 4k and now 900 for a 1k. They hit every price range and had the groove box game on lock. If you cant afford the xl you got a 1k. If you love the 3k and hated xl you might hit the 4k up. Because of roland if akai do come out with something new its gona have to be better and at a lower price.
