I don't know how I've deleted this three times, but I have.
Anyway, for those that are interested in RME gear, they released their new firewire/usb interface. It looks pretty good and obviously RME gear has pretty good converters, build and stability. According to RME this interface is not meant to replace the Fireface 800. Guesstimated price is around $2299 USD. The features, though appealing, seems like the standard fare and what's to become expected on any newer audio interface (DSP, monitor management, etc). I won't be getting one though.

You can find out more info here.
There's also an official unboxing here.
