I just have a few questions. Instead of ditching my good old mpc 2kxl for what ever is out there new, i have thinking about ways to just do what ever i cant do in the mpc on my lap top computer. Right now im using sound forge 7 but wanted to know what is the difference of sound forge and recycle? If there isnt to many major differences am i cool to keep using sound forge. Everybody says the 2kxl has crapy converters when it comes to sampling so i wanted to know would i get a better sound if i was to use my 828 to do all the sampling and just transfer the wav. to the mpc later. Do the plugin VINTAGE WARMER really make a difference as far as giving you samples a a little warmth that people claim the 2kxl takes way. Some people always say the mpc 3k adds better lows while the 2kxl takes some way, well if i was to get good at knowing how im my mpc handles sound couldnt i just add maybe a lil more umph to my samples before i transfer them to my mpc to compresate what is taking away. About the lack 2kxl filers. I was thinking about buying the Antars filter and wanted to know would that give me some good ones to work with what my mpc dont have. O yea aint good old E.Q. the same as a filter!

I sample from CD and internet on my PC, process and chop via Sound Forge 7 (way better than recycle to me) and transfer via 250 zip to my 2kxl. I ONLY use the eq and filters on PC, a filter to me is just a glorified eq. What my 2kxl can't do I do with PC..
