I went back to akai os and why some people have 2 mpcs?

Well i went back to akai os 2.11 for few reasons

I was useing jjos1 but was little slow on dial wheel i swtch from akai os 2.13 to jjos 1 and set it dial wheel on number 2. still little slow. And some my button wont respond i had push few times...
And i realize i wasnt use most the features on there plus your limted on grid edit with 6 or 16 pad.. Thogh i had grid edit and step edit i kept useing step edit haha

2. started thinking dre dj quik some other hiphop producers use 60 and 3000 dat dont have all these features haha.And akai os was lot faster everythang went smooth..

My opion on akai os and jjos is both great but both come with price.
Akai might be lack of features jjos be little slow and each jjos comes with only certain features i notice.
But we all eat are own on works best for us..And akai works little better for me.

Also my qustion why some people use 2 mpcs or more??? just curious haha

More MPC= more polyphony.

More is always better unless you are obese.

from what i recall the free jjos was no slower then the og akia one but the way the menu options in the akia was laid out was kinda messed up.

but far a poly ive neva heard a dope beat that had 128 samples playing at the same time or 64.

16 tracks should be sufficient at the most 24-32

dudes like complex like if i make a beat with 256 tracks my beat will be better cos it feeds the ego and they see it as a technical accomplishment but they often attempt to cover the fact that the shits wack.

some people have more mpcs cause they sound different.

there was a thread talking about this, and someone mentioned it was similar to why a guitar player may have several guitars.

Great analogy.

I can't live without my mpc.

So I always got one spare mpc laying around for backup.

I work on my 2500, and use the 1000 when I work outside the house and keep it as my spare beatmachine.

Appreciate the responies..im lookn at buying 5000 or 500 maybe both go with my 1k lol..

To jpeg your right me etiher so i mpc be nuff im guessing.. i mean i aint heard hip hop artist use 99 tracks or sample a hour sample lol..

the older mpc's may have difference in sound but the new ones i doubt it i dont see any reason to have a 500, 1k 2500 and 5k if ur primary reason is the different sound
