Well topic says it, its either buy this or a mpc2000xl for me. Some of the problems I read about here are retarded. I guess they dont test this stuff for reliability at all. Or am I missing something? Thanks for responding to the dumbass noob!!! :D

No problems here, knock on wood. I filled the space between the pads and sensor board to fix the pad sensitivity issue, and I used deoxit to bring unresponsive buttons and q-links back to life.

only problems ive encountered are tact switches acting up.. but a bottle of deoxit has cured that.. smooth sailing otherwise..

Yup. A very small amount, then work the switch like 10-20 times to get the lubrication in. Same for the q-links. Just spray a little bit, slide it back and forth 10-20 times, spray more if the slider still doesn't glide, and close it up! You may also wanna use compressed air to get any debris or dust out of the switches and sliders first.

I cut up little squares from an album cover (about the same size as the sensor on the board) and stuck them to the board with thin double-sided tape. Search around, there are other materials and ways of doing this. For example some here actually molded silicon to the underside of their pads, mpcstuff.com sell corx, etc.

thanks man!! ive got a few tacts that you have to push hard, or twice before they work, ive been practicing soldering so i can replace them. its good to know that i have another option for a while.
