Guess I should throw my vid in here too ;-)

EDIT DUE TO BELOW COMMENT: This isn't supposed to be shameless self promotion - I couldn't give a shit whether anyone watches it or not - but it shows a slightly different way of working with an MPC than a lot of other vids I've watched, which is the reason I posted it in the first place.

Basically I use mine more as a scratch pad for ideas. So, in the above vid, I make a beat, drop some bass on it, and then lay some chords on top, all from the MPC1000 (with a midi controller of course).

Apologies that it's me in the video and not someone else.

Man, Amsterdam, how I miss that place. Haven't been back in a couple years now, think I'm due another visit sometime real soon. Quite often wonder why I ever left...bought some Dutch cheese a couple days back and got a real flashback episode!

Nothing planned gig wise, but I'm working on some live stuff to try and tour before next summer, so if that works out then Amsterdam gonna be one of the first stops. Maybe it'll be the last stop too, once I'm reminded of how damn cool the place is ;-)

Please add some sort of description, not just a link.

That is just plain lazy and selfish.

In this thread, you're supposed to be posting other peoples beatmaking videos, not your own.

Eliminates bias and unashamed self-promotion.
