Yesterday i got a mpd 26 (currently for drums not samples) and linked it via usb to fl9 i got it all mapped out and set up correctly and everything records fine...for the most part. if i record one track (kicks) and then try to play back while recording another track (nares) the playback for the kicks stops as soon as i hit a snare (or any other pad for that matter). Yet once recorded it all plays back fine. i know its an issue with the mpd and not fpc in fl. Is there a way to fix this or should i return it and keep using my midi keyboard? if anyone could help me out i'd really appreciate it.

what do you mean
if i record one track (kicks) and then try to play back
??? do you mean record (score enabled) in a pattern? or do you mean record in song mode right into the play list?

I dont know what your problem is, make sure cut itself is not turned on.... which might cause a problem, and maybe try doing the snares in the next pattern with it on song mode so you hear the kicks too.

I suggest pushing stop with the space bar or what ever anyways after each different sample if that solves the problem.

im not new to FL so unfortunatly i've tried all these. Again after multiple tests ive found the problem lies within my MPD and not FL (dont know if im misunderstanding a setting or got sent a faulty product). Thanks anyways i really appreciate your time and effort.

man, if somehow it were possible to take a video of the error in action, I have no idea how to do those "video screenshots" haha... cause I am interested in seeing that happen.... I dont have an mpd rigged like that, I have an mpd 16 but not connected through USB.

so wait, you record the kicks... and when it loops around you dont hear them? and then you push stop, then start again for the snares... but then later it works properly? that seems odd.

yea i get the same problem, its like it overwrites the old midi info with the new stuff? only way iv managed round it is cloning the FPC channel so i end up with like 5 in each pattern by the time all drums, hats, samples etc are added

i think I found the solution to this a few weeks ago but now I forgot what it was... check the options menu cause I think there is a selection you can de-tick that stops the overdubbing thing from happening.
