KeyBoard To go with MPC1000

Ummm.... then why do ALL "m-audio" axiom 49 and 49 pro "controllers" come with usb,midi in,midi out ports??? Do you even read about stuff before you speak on it? I mean really.. you fail.


Edit.. its also $200.00.,Sliders,knobs,8 pads... it kills me when people run there mouth and dont know what the the hell they are talking about. He dont want a f-fing rack..he wants a small synth/keyboard that has midi functions... Does he have a desk to mount the rack or should he just toss it on the dresser? My god.

yep, sorry, you're right - the pro range does have proper midi ports. I looked at what was carried by some stores near me and they only had the oxygen and new axiom ranges, which are usb only. so I read about what was available to buy. I also see the pro range is nearly £100 more than the same sized usb-only keyboards - which is more than I wanted to spend

does the axiom 49 (not the pro) have midi ports? I don't see them listed on the m-audio website, which is where i looked. - oh I see that too now ... oh well, I fail. shit happens.

fair enough, I never said that was a bad idea, and I didn't suggest getting a rack. I just pointed out that I found it hard to find a midi controller that wasn't usb only. yeah, I didn't look terribly hard, but I was saying what I'd found

thanks for setting me straight on the axioms, I totally missed that they're not usb only - though they're still more money than i wanted to spend when i was looking

sold my micro x for lawyer fees and miss it more than my trition...no wheighted keys but for that $ range great sound and the size fit perfectly next to my mp
