Ableton Live roll call!!!!

hey hers a vid explaining chopping samples and saving preset in live 8..i started using this method a few days ago and its real easy to make ur own presets for drum racks,effects and many other things save them and recall what u did so u wont have to make new racks every set....check it out

I'd like to sync my mpc2500 with ableton via midi, sequence in the mpc, use abletons instruments on mulitple tracks in the mpc to build a sequence.

so, to make it extremely clear, lets say I have absolutely nothing in my mpc, no sounds or whatever, is it then possible to build sequences within my mpc from sounds from ableton?...using a different sound on each track.

I know that I can't do this with a microkorg due to it not being multi timbral.

've been trying for so long that I'm about to cry. I am getting the same old problem where the recorded sound will change each time I select a new sound in ableton. I am using seperate tracks in the mpc, e.g, track 1 midi A1 track 2, midi A2.

Yes. The meat of the mpc is its sequencer. This is what its made to do. The only thing you need to do is set up distinct midi channels to send info to different tracks.

tried it, it didn't work for me, so I'm now posting in the ABLETON bit with my question being ableton related. It's usually better to ask specific questions in an area that is related to your specific question.

why are you bothered anyway? Do you honestly not have anything better to do with your life than tell people that they shouldn't post twice????

and you couldn't be more of a lazier noob. seriously... there are even youtube videos out there that cover this sh!t for lazy bastards like yourself that can't be bothered to read a manual, and THINK for themselves for just 1 minute. in the time it takes you to post the same thing 5 times on this forum you could have easily figured it out for yourself. and this isn't aimed at just you, but for all the other dudes who do the same sh!t incessantly as well. and as far as "why are we bothered"?? it's 'cause you're cluttering up the forums... i don't wanna see the same newbie question in every thread i open. once is enough, but none is better.

I've tried to be polite, because you obviously don't use the forum much. But Clint has basically just told you what I was telling you, and if you want to gain knowledge from valuable members of the forum then you should adhere to a common sense approach when posting. I have plenty going on in my life, and that little rhetoric only makes you look silly. I am an Ableton user, and I don't want threads like this being clogged up with questions that have already been posted once before.

I'm sorry. I was in a bad mood because of all this midi stuff. still am actually.

I always hear such good things about Ableton so i've decided to give it another try.It just seemed like ALOT of work to piece something together.Although i have noticed if you rewire it,it's not so bad.And i just copped a few off those e-books,so hopefully it will get easier as i learn more.But it is pretty dope so far.

Once you know what your doing you can streamline through making beats.

I'm finally getting down with the ableton mpc 2500 combo. The biggest thing thats confusing me is that the ableton metronome starts exactly one beat after the mpc's after count in.

mpc- 1-2-3-4-kick-snare

ableton- silence then metro starts at the point where the snare goes.

it's like it's got a 5 beat silent count in.

this is using the mpc play record by the way.
