SP-606...

Yeah, Roland was ahead of their time with the 606. Maschine did expand the idea to another level but lacked the stand-alone feature that SPs (and MPCs for that matter) are known for. If NI would of took it there then all competition would've been demolished the day it dropped.

@ ill green... the 606 and i agree with u about NI... that interface looks real tempting but it fails in comparison to the 606

the only real plus the maschine has is its dual sreens a a few more knobs...

like i said b4... if they offered two extra voices it'd be on and thats all i'd need... evrything else about it is real dope...
but their reasoning for the low voice count was the direct streaming of sounds from the card is really taxing on the unit... thats why its low... ive had mines since 2005 and never plan on dumping it...

1. we are not in the mpc thread. had i posted in the mpc4000 thread which ive done for 8 years then it should "bother" you.
2. even akai are not loyal to the mpc brand. they make controllers and ipad apps while i was waiting for my mpc to get updated. they didnt change their name; just their product. even pete rock stop using the sp 1200.....it happens. if motu would have REALLY updated bpm then...... if roland updated the mv8000 then......... akai the mpc5000.........why kill the messenger?

no one's out to harm anyone... it's just you have ppl that love their mpcs a ton... so they dont want to be told their living in the past or stopping their creativity by not tryng out different things especially on a forum dedicated to said machine...

imagine going on gearslutz and calling everyone a fool for not investing in software and still buying hardware...

those same people LOVE the maschines inspired by or should i say taking up the tired torch of said maschine. people need to get work done mayne. im here to help mpc people. if akai wont someone else might have a tool. this kind of talk should be in the mpc threads not the "free to talk about any maschine i want" thread. am i wrong?

we aren't members of the MPC forums cause we have to and we got no choice... we are here because we like the mpc series. AKA it is voluntary, we enjoy using that piece of gear. It is one thing mentioning other stuff you use and features you love, but coming to the mpc forums to knock our favourite gear is gonna get people riled up.
