Hi, I am having problem with my pads and the track mute function. I have recently upgraded my pads and have the blue and red version of the MPC 1000 running the most basic JJOS 3.08 I believe. The pads work fine when triggering samples but when I use the track mute function, it doesn't always work properly to mute the specific track. I have to hit the pad a few times and the corresponding mute will randomly trigger on or off, or off/on really quick. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be? Thanks

you are "recording mix changes" most likely.

does it replay the mutes right where you tapped em, and show the lights going on and off in the track mute screen?

yeah, the lights on the track mute screen go off and on really quickly, but sometimes it'll work with one tap of the pad and the specific track will mute. It's like the sensitivity of the pad is messing with the track mute function, when you should be able to tap the pad once and it'll mute, tap it again once and unmute

what do you mean by "recording mix changes?"

I have the same problem as the OP. Does anyone have suggestion for this?

Maybe it's because on older OS the track mute work as "NOTE ON" i.e. you have to wait for the sequencer to retrigger the event to be able to mute or unmute.

In more recent OS you have the "LEVEL" option. You can mute and unmute immediately.
