Direct recording to 8 assignable outs ?

Is it possible to send the recordings with direct recording to the 8 assignable outputs seperately, or are these outs still just for the pads like with the 2000(XL)... ?

not possible ?

when you do a direct recording you have to tell the mpc onto which pad you want to put the recorded sample.
this pad then can be set to any of the outputs in mixer screen. you also can setup the pads to the different outputs before you start the direct recording.

during the recording however it most likely only is going to the stereo out to provide monitoring via input thru function.

do you have a mpc or are you just planing to buy one? and what do you want to do while in direct recording mode that needs this function? do you want to send your input signal to an effect device for monitoring wet or do you want to go this way after the recording has happened?

the mpc manuals are not very clear on the subject assignable outs.


I now have a 2k with an Akai Dps 16 for mastering. The direct recording function is most necassery to play different instument (mainly keyboard) into the sequences.

Now i need to multitrack the mpc with the dps, wich is not an easy task i can say..
