How do you transfer what you have on your mpc to pro tools

please help I have a mpc2500 and just got a small interface with two ins i hooked it all up and am wondering how to get a beat I made on my mpc onto protools?

welcome to the forums...

one track at a time? just solo each track and record into protools. set the track tempo before recording so you are "on the grid", but to automatical align all tracks perfect you need to sync the mpc and protools. this only works if you have a midi connection between your mpc and protools.

or you can convert each track to wav via resampling and then burn that waves with the internal cd burner (if you have one installed) and then import those waves into your protools.

or you can usb those waves or you can use a cf-card...

do yourself a favour and search the forums a little while because this has been asked a gazilion times before!

I use an MPC3000

The way I transfer tracks to logic for mixing is:

1.) I create a new 1 bar sequence and make the very first note be a sharp hi-hat or sound on all tracks used.

2.) In song mode make that 1 bar be the first sequence of your song so that each track will have a tick at the first note

3.) Record each track into your DAW via stereo outs, this will require soloing that track in each sequence and then playing in song mode, or better yet convert your song into one sequence to make it easier.

4.) Every track should now be in the DAW with a visual point at the beginning to sync together
