Mention you still want to press charges. That police report is official documentation that the event occurred so later on you can sue if needed.

I agree with calling the police, but that sounds like a good way to get done for wasting police time.
just report her straight away, it's destruction of property, don't call them in them then start dropping clues

Stepmom does not equal family. You have no obligation to feel anything other than sexual attraction to that women. If you're not sexually attracted to her beat the **** out of her.

On a serious note you could take her to court. Just record her admitting she chucked them out, seek a solicitor, and get the money plus compensation.

My mother in law recently robbed me of over £5000 which I lent her. Refused to pay it back. Smack heads robbed her house. Job done.

Anything is possible :D Just depends on how pissed you are :X

would be tempted to take her to court, but the cost of it all would prob tottally out weigh the cost of the records,
Im just erasing her from my life and moving out, at least im still 18 and have years to recollect some of those LPs

You don't pay nothing in small claims court, just get a police report, make a claim and file it with the court. The judge can grant you a maximum of five thousand dollars in compensation.

But yeah, there's plenty of Barbra Streisand and Disco Fever records in the bin

I will never understand the "Throw it away" If there is some kinda object or possession to be thrown away, do some research! I don't understand why people throw out records. There is money to be made at the least. Sorry for your loss.
