What would be the best "accessory" or equipment to go along with the MPC1000 besides a computer?

I would say the 128mb memory upgrade, or a bigger smart media card. that way you won't be tripped up while working on some ish. Just one man's opinion though.

a vhs tape to prop it up on a slant... hands down the best accessory, no more slouching(sp?) over this thing.

I have a 1K and the best thing I've gotten so far was the EXM 128, cause you'll probably end up loading multiple samples up and then the 16MB will be all used up.

good vinyl, straight up, get some drum breaks and some old funk, prog or jazz. quincy jones and david axelrod records would be a good place to start for samples.

CF card reader for your PC so you don't have to use that craptastic USB interface.

this has been the best thing I have bought so far, but then again I havent did the RAM upgrade yet.

The CF card reader is still great and everyone should have one if you use the MPC 1000

mem upgrade is the obvious one, but don't sleep on getting a moudule or a keyboard. I suggest something cheap like a 1080 proteous 2000, or a TR rack. Most people don't use the full functions of a triton, motif, fantom, so it reall over kill and too much money for me. So I would go with a cheap module and if you have that get something to trap your sounds on like a vs-880

yo i have this problem too but i use a big ass empty binder cause its on a really good slant.... anything above like 3 inches is amazing

for an accessory i would say a cf reader most definetly and then the memory which u can get at a place like micro center for like 60 bills
