Akai 8 outputs...2000xl & 4000??

Hey yall what's up?? I did some research on the 8 ouputs option for the MPC 4000 and found out that it is Functional on the Mpc2000Xl with that being said, i just wanted to know if anyone on here has experience with this situation but instead using the 8 output board from the 2000xl inside the 4000? ? Will this work? anyone knows? thanks....

um, try it in the 4000 section instead of the 5000 section
