How 2 slice sound on the 2000?

I have a mpc 2000XL & my partner has the 2000. I was trying to find the slice function on his 2000. On the XL it is [Hit] Trim tthen [Hit] Zone then [Hit] Edit and now you can scrool to Slice Sound. Where is this function on the 2000. He has OS v1.72

on the nonXL you have to select each area with zone edit then save each slice as a new sound one at a time.
