Yeah, VST are able to refurb old screens. Wonder how they do it.

I don't think SMC is the only guy looking to get screens made so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

In addition to designing a screen replacement, I went through a design for VGA out for the MPC2k series. It's doable, but pretty difficult for the same reasons that no one has come up with a replacement for the same systems. Actually, I think it would be easier to manufacture a VGA modification than a screen replacement. The drawback is that one would have to mod the MPC to get the connection.

that right there would be bad ass. I always wondered if maybe someone would come up with a mod that does that...

how much would it cost to build something like that? also, wouldn't it be hard to get the picture to align on another screen with a different ratio?
