The LE system is a bundle package. Simply plug it in and upload Pro tools in your computer and your good to go.

With M-Power you have the choice of adding any M-Power compatible interface or controller.

I recomend a digi 002 or 003.
If your in this game to win it , you will need something good in the future. Why wait till then. Save, buy, enjoy creative freedom and room to grow.

Damn bro! you got me! best short advice i heard :p

I was thinking about Digi 003 Rack. What do you think about it? Should I save for full Digi 003 ?

Hah! I just know that I will upgrade if I will take something small, on the other hand I'm so eager to try it, but hey tomorrow I'm going to work :P

Ya the 003 bundle would be epic. Room to grow with out upgrading the interface and a true Pro setup with expensive sounding results on the finished work.. epic

Could some1 point me differences between digi 003 and digi 003 rack? Does digi 003 rack sound worse (the reason why I'm interested in rack is that it's a lot smaller and I might have to travel with it)? And what's the deal with the complete toolkit it costs 3.500$ and without it 2.100$. damn
Also Pro Tools 9 is out yesterday and it allows all audio interfaces.
I still don't have a clue what is this **** iLok, some protection or what.
Shit it seems I have to collect a lot of information before I go PT. When I was going Logic I only looked at screen and thought - yep that's it. ;p

Digidesign has made PT more versatile.

The Digi 003 is a good pick. The only difference between the rack and desktop version are the controls. The desktop is a controller and audio interface. You can also use it in Standalone Mode. Standalone Mode enables you to hear your audio without turning on your computer.

An ilok key stores authorization codes to use software and plug-ins. Without the ilok key connected, you will be unable to use the software and/or plug-in. Certain software companies use ilok keys to reduce or prevent hacks.

If you plan on doing a lot of traveling and want to save a few bucks. Check out the Avid Mbox Pro. Its basically the firewire version on the Digi Mbox. Depending on your needs it has fewer inputs, outputs and mic pres.

I wouldn't say that, but there are other options. The key points are; compatibility, features, and reliability. Sound quality is a personal preference. To this day we still heard great songs that were recorded on older systems.
