Do I need a mixer to get sound from my speakers from my mpc4000? (I currently use headphones)

not really, you could run the outputs of the 4000 right to the monitors if you wanted to...

studio monitors....



read the manual there for sure is a chapter talking about connecting your mpc to your rig.


you can run it through a mixer... useful if you got several pieces of gear...



How did you find out what an mpc 4000 is and you dont know if a mixer would help your setup and you dont know what monitors are? I am not trying to sound mean or anything but these are basics and you got the most advanced mpc available.

it depends if your speakers are active or passive.

if they're passive you will need an amplifier to drive them
