I've PERSONALLY seen this cat with his main board taken apart, re routing bus channels by hand and modifying the **** out of it basically.


He is selling his studio, so I think he is waiting on that sale to push the order, and on the supplier to rebuild to spec. shortyMC goes hard on the techie stuff. Almost as hard as me.

Let's not forget that he made his own line of card readers for the 2000 line

No offense to SMC but considering the two posts from mpc3000le (a very credible and reputable member) i think he may be in over his head.

Do what i did and use this thread to sell your paper-weight mpc for top dollars. I used this thread the first week it came out as a reference to sell my mpc for $350. I already had a mpc-3000.

to be honest this was probably a really smart way to sell off all his damaged mpc... again no offense, i thought it was genius.

Unlike SMC, I am an Electrical Engineer (and sampling enthusiast with a penchant for Miami Bass) and my design firm, Envision Electronics Design, LLC unlocked the MPC display "secret". During development, we talked to the original MPC display and then remapped the pixels to a new display.

I've also secured private funding to develop the displays. So while you're all waiting for "that one guy", we're getting the job done. We're buying hundreds, not a few. And they're multicolor RGB (red, green, blue) LED back lighting - also known as million color - will allow you to adjust the back light color and brightness (not LCD contrast...that's in the MPC) to anything you want. An optional, tiny planar keypad mounted to the back or top panel allows on-the-fly adjustment. Otherwise, you set it up on installation.

Want a VGA output? Sure - no problem at all. Since we are already dedicating a processor + RAM to the new LCD - sending it to an external VGA port is a no-brainer. Look for that to come up next.
