New to the Production World Need Advice URGENTLY!!!

I want to start to learn how to make Hip-Hop instrumentals and I am unsure of what MPC to buy, I've browsed various sites without much luck and am in need of some advice on which one to purchase. Also if there is a tutorial program that would be recommended that would be very much appreciated!!

You'll need a Akai MPC - 500 .That will get you straight!!

have a look at either the 1000 or the 2000xl.

do you want new or used?
what is your budget?

Definitely depends on what you need.


Write down what you hope to achieve and get out of your MPC and then someone will direct you on which will be the best.

Look around this site is filled with tutorials.

What type of MPC you want depends on what type of music you plan to make so features and your pocket, aren't overkill.

For straight up Raw Boom Bap Hip Hop I would recommend the MPC500. 1000 and 2500 are pretty decent and go beyond the average Boom Bap if you want to take it there and the 5000 is the pro studio of them all.
