mpc drum samples good or bad?

ive been looking into those drum samples they sell that you can buy online. dose anyone no if there worth the cash. i feel like i am cheating my way and taking the easy way out by buyin them but i feel it would be much easier. so im jus wonderin if there quality.

You are only cheating yourself in my opinion.

Sampling is THE basic thing you need to get familiar with.
To get to know how to record, how to edit etc.

If you search you might find something decent to buy
but it is nothing compared to the knowledge you would get by learning how to do them yourself

Their the best ones Imo that ive had from Tutor.

Stay away from Primeloops ,Producer Loops they are well homo gay.

An alternative try Goldbaby.com they have some good stuff.

goldbaby has great samples... but those swing more into the full bodied fx instead of clean samples. If you like some pretty lathered sounds definitely go here.

someone just up'd 1.1gb of drum loops on here about an hour ago.

you need to chop them loops, mix n match drums to fit, layer/tune/filter/resample/rinse/repeat/think outside the norm and learn different methods to the madness.

but i do admit when i first started on my mp in '06 i copped a bunch of $5 packs off ebay and i did pump out beats alot quicker.... although the sound was very generic. but that was untill i found my first break on a record. i must have flipped that break 10-20 different ways untill i caught another one.. lol

in all honesty these days i spend most the time making beats on creating my drums and getting the sound im after. and the end result is definitely worth it, not to mention knowing for a solid fact that no one on the planet used the combination of drums/settings.

at the end of the day, it's a good feeling
