video about the pads

(I'm portuguese sorry about my english)

Well I bought the mpc 1000 in december 2006 and the machine came with this stupid pads(5 dead now, 2 of them since 2007), and the worst thing is that to fix them I have to pay 200 dolares, so my ideia is to make a video on youtube dissing the crap out of akai and demanding cheaper pads, I think that this forum is big and if we all colaborated we will have the publicity that we need.. to be seen

the video would have images, and it will start with the influnce of producers that used the mpc to inspire us all

we have to do something

AKAI isn't ever going to do anything... i've even confronted their staff directly on this forum and they just ignore the facts. i won't even get into how hard a member named Nym used to go at them as well [he even came up with a pad fix before they did]... but the best thing you can do at this point is just stop buying AKAI's products.

yea this wont accomplish anything. akai has known about the issue since the launch of the 1000. its common and happens on every mpc with the old style pads. that is the reason they made the switch on all newer generation mpc1000's to have the new(old) pads. and even after indirectly acknowledging that there was a problem by switching the pad system. they still will do nothing for you but sell you the new pads as an "upgrade" kit. my advice is move on and put your energy into music instead of waisting your time with a diss track.

3 Pads is more then adequete.Bongo L ,Bongo R ,Shaker .what do you want
