Syncing MPC 2000xl to Cubase LE

I've had Cubase LE for almost a week and can't figure out how to sync my MPC 2000xl with it. Has anybody in here done this and if so could you give me the step by step process or a link explaining it?

for the right settings. you can find it in cubase somewhere under transport -> sync.

shif 9 on your mpc and choose midi clock for midi in or out depending how you want to work with.

Thanks! Finally got it working. Only problem now is there seems to be a problem recording what I have. I got it to record earlier, but couldn't hear what I recorded. Any clue as to why this is occuring?

Ok! Could you explain why when everything is synced one minute and I can control my MPC with Cubase, but then all of a sudden I hit play on Cubase and nothing comes out of my MPC even with everything connected. This thing is becoming a big ass headache!

Yeah, I did! It still doesn't always record. I figure it's a glitch in Cubase. For some reason Cubase stops controlling the MPC until I restart the computer. The connections are all good though. Really appreciate your help though!

just turning of your computer or the mpc too? I jave to redo the midi settings after turning of the mpc.
