HP Envy beats edition

is this laptop made specifically to target the producers, beat makers and artists? Is this machine powerful enough to run multiple programs and serato? I want to get a laptop and was gonna go the macbook pro route but I wanna know if this one can do the job just as well and save me another grand in my pocket.

Looks like a nice system but a lot of marketing there... don't believe the hype.

For the price you would pay for a MacBook or an HP with a banging set of speakers, you could buy your a REALLY NICE LAPTOP PC and still have enough left over to buy some good stuff. (Green, Gear, or G'dass)

Its the exact same i5 core 470m processor as the base macbook pro with a 2.4 core duo.
It has a 1gig vid card. It has 4gig of ram same as the macbook pro. No firewire as a stock install. No superdrive. So basicly the same laptop. Different os and better vid card and no firewire. And bigger hdd and free beats by dre headphones and production software.

the only thing this computer has that makes it 'music related' is the little tiny sub woofer packed in the laptop. the specs are pretty good tho but nothing special.
