it was for a PA system amp... i got a phonecall saying the fuse had gone in it from one of my friends, whilst i was in town, so i couldnt have googled it. so yeah, youre wrong once again.

it doesnt say in my post in wanted that im looking for a PERFECT screen...

I might not know much about MPCs, which is why ive signed up for a forum; to find out stuff!

but I blatantly know more about other gear than you if you live 20 mins away from Brum and your suggestion for 1210 repairs is "google it". :lol: anyone near Brum who has a clue would know the first result is likely to be HTFR, which, as discussed in this thread with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, is a shit shop. Matthews is MUCH better, price wise and service wise, but not half as well known as HTFR.

I've only had one piece of equipment break on me in 15 years of producing, and that had to be sent back to London, so your point is moot. The demographic of this forum is probably 75% American producers, so personally this place wouldn't be my first port of call for local repairs.

With a bit of research the op could maybe fix the problem himself and also save himself some cash. In fact there's a fella on here (Sonseelye) who could help him out for sure.

Maybe not, but when I signed up here I at least acted with some decorum and respect for the other forum heads.

For what it's worth I hope your advice is the best, but I can guarantee you I wasn't being facetious with my advice either.

youve been producing 15 years and youve only had ONE piece of gear break on you? thats a pretty lucky 15 years haha

cheers mate, that was very helpful! had come across them whilst researching, nice to hear some feedback of how their service is. ill deffo check them out.

i obviously googled it beforehand but it returned nothing, (except for what looked like a generic technics repair site which i didn't trust), thanks again.
